The Magnolia Garden

As a result of the redevelopment of the historic gardens of Villa de Claricini Dornpacher, an arboretum consisting of Magnolias Grandiflora and a small collection of flowering magnolias was created. In addition to their ornamental value, magnolias were chosen for their hardiness and adaptability.
Climate changes, particularly those in summer, have caused the death of several trees and shrubs in this and other parks and gardens in the Friuli and Veneto lowlands, necessitating the use of species better adapted to the new climatic conditions. In addition to their beauty, magnolias contribute to the ecosystem by attracting pollinators such as bees and birds. In addition, since they are medium to large trees, their generous foliage provides shade and helps improve air quality.
